AT MEDICOMP, THE FUTURE IS ALREADY HERE
Medicomp Systems innovates technologies that captures, aggregates, and filters information or data and makes it usable so that clinicians can focus on the patient. Since 1978, when Peter Goltra set out to improve physicians’ access to relevant patient information and enable sharing of that information throughout the medical system, Medicomp has remained focused on the simple principle that information technology can be used to save lives and give caregivers what they need to care for the patient versus tending to business. Goltra’s solution to this challenge was the development of the MEDCIN® Engine, which is now in use in leading EHRs around the world.
The MEDCIN Engine, and its component parts, has been continuously expanded and refined since 1978. Collaboration and work with physicians on staff at Cornell, Harvard and Johns Hopkins, along with other major medical centers, including the Department of Defense Military Health System, have enabled the Medicomp team to continuously expand and improve MEDCIN and innovate new technologies that have improved EHR systems and made them easy for clinicians to use.
Today EHR and system developers around the world are using the MEDCIN Engine and Quippe, Medicomp’s easy to use and learn documentation tool, to improve legacy and new EHRs, providing the content and tools to make data usable and relevant to each patient while dealing with requirements as a by-product of use.
